Honegger’s evocative Pastorale d’été opens with a peaceful musical landscape, followed by Boccherini’s spirited “La casa del Diavolo ”Symphony. Shostakovich’s Chamber Symphony in c minor offers profound emotional depth, and Mahler’s Adagietto from his Fifth Symphony provides an unforgettable conclusion.
